We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Paediatrics department. This role will be based in our Outpatients Team and requires an individual with Children's Nursing experience to treat our paediatric patients.
This is a part-time role at 32 hours per week across flexible shift patterns.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care for children across a range of clinical settings.
- Monitor and respond to changes in condition, escalate concerns, and carry out clinical observations, treatments, and interventions safely.
- Work in partnership with families and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support throughout the care journey.
- Collaborate with medical teams, allied health professionals, and safeguarding leads to ensure coordinated care.
- Act as an advocate for children and young people, ensuring their safety, privacy, and dignity.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in accordance with NMC Code and organisational policies.
- Participate in audits, patient feedback, and service development initiatives.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Children / Paediatrics) with valid NMC registration.
- Experience delivering nursing care to children and young people in hospital or community settings.
- Strong communication and family liaison skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and family dynamics.
- Experience in a paediatric specialty (e.g., surgical, oncology, outpatient, day case).
